San Antonio, TX — April 27, 2024, Yvette Straight and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly before 5:00 p.m. along Farm to Market 2252.
According to authorities, 59-year-old Yvette Straight and a 55-year-old woman were traveling in a northbound GMC Terrain SUV on F.M. 2252 in the right turn only lane at the Evans road intersection when the accident took place.

Preliminary reports state that the GMC had come to a stop at a yield sign in order to yield the right of way to Evans Road traffic. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Cadillac behind the SUV failed to stop, as well, resulting in a rear-end collision between the two vehicles. The Cadillac allegedly fled the scene, the 26-year-old man inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victims. The license plate of the hit-and-run vehicle which had been obtained by a witness later led authorities to the hit-and-run suspect, according to reports.
Straight and the other woman from the SUV each suffered reportedly severe injuries due to the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
