Cory CarlsonChief Operating Officer
About

Cory Carlson is the Chief Operating Officer for Grossman Law Offices and is our most senior employee, having been with the firm for 15 years.

Cory graduated from law school at the University of North Texas where he earned his Juris Doctor. Prior to law school, Cory studied business and entrepreneurial management at the University of Iowa where he obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration.

Cory played a vital role in the transformation of Grossman Law Offices from a more conventional personal injury firm into the focused litigation firm it is today. He is quite vocal in his criticism of the way "most firms" operate. Having begun his career in sales and then enterprise management, Cory is firmly rooted in the belief that companies must always be client-focused. He has created many of the firm's policies and procedures accordingly.

Cory's known around the office for his can-do attitude, his ability to solve any problem, his willingness to sacrifice his personal time to help our clients, and for being a true believer in the firm's mission.

Cory and his wife are foster parents who have been blessed to adopt three children through foster care, with another on the way. Further, Cory and his family are passionate supporters of several charitable organizations focused on supporting children in need. In 2018, the Carlsons were recognized by Congressman Sam Johnson through the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute for their contribution to foster care and adoption, and attended a special ceremony in Washington, DC.

About

Marini Torres is one of the most capable litigation paralegals in the State of Texas and a vital part of our operation. Upon graduating from paralegal school, she began her career at the Law Offices of John R. Salazar where she worked for several years as a pre-litigation paralegal. She then transitioned to The Carlson Law Firm where she spent two years focusing on auto and premises liability cases.

Upon learning of Marini's capabilities, Grossman Law Offices was able to convince her to join our team where she has worked for the past 10 years.

Marini is known around the office for her diligent work ethic, attention to detail, knowledge of Texas civil procedure, and her cheerful demeanor. Her primary roles consist of managing our firm's litigation docket and supervising our team of paralegals and case managers. Simply put, she is the oil that makes our litigation machine run so well.

Moreover, her skill in assisting our attorneys is rivaled only by her dedication to helping those whom we serve. She has spent countless hours helping clients fill out life insurance paperwork, make funeral arrangements, schedule doctors appointments, make travel arrangements, etc. Our firm is known throughout the legal community for the way we go above and beyond to help clients with problems that aren't necessarily a part of their case. Marini deserves the majority of the credit for this reputation, as it's the result of her unwavering commitment to always treat our clients like family.

Marini is also fluent in Spanish and lives in North Texas with her husband and five children.

About

Jeffrey Carr earned a BS in English Literature from Towson University in Maryland. Following the completion of his Bachelor's degree, Jeffrey continued to take research-focused writing and analysis classes at Towson to further develop his rhetorical and analytical capabilities. Jeffrey is also a student of history, philosophy, and politics who is known around the office for knowing basically everything, thus earning him the nickname "Jeffipedia."

Jeffrey came to work for Grossman Law Offices as a researcher and writer. Our firm's approach to public outreach is unlike other firms. Rather than our website serving as a conventional marketing tool, our aim is to produce web content that focuses heavily on three elements:

-Making the law more accessible by explaining its inner workings in terms that non-lawyers can appreciate.
-Spreading the word about important safety concerns and related trends and statistics.
-Analyzing and discussing public policies and their effects on our fellow Texans

Our firm is committed to the idea expressed by Justice Clarence Thomas that, "the law belongs to everyone, not just attorneys." Jeffrey's efforts to translate legalese into plain language have played a major role in our firm's mission to empower Texans by helping them understand their rights and remedies in a complex legal environment.

Jeffrey lives with his wife and son in Dallas and enjoys spending his free time reading.
