Midland County, TX — November 10, 2023, Yensibel Caballero Valdera was injured following a car accident at around 12:45 a.m. along Highway 349.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened along Highway 349 near Ridge Road, south of I-20.
According to officials, 28-year-old Yensibel Caballero Valdera was a passenger in a Toyota Camry going southbound on the highway. Somehow, a Ford Ranger crashed into the back of the Camry. Afterward, the driver of the Ford reportedly left the scene. Caballero Valdera reportedly had serious injuries due to the crash.

It’s unclear right now if authorities located the suspect runaway driver, but details suggest they have that person’s identity. Even when they do hold that person accountable for leaving the scene, though, they’d also need to find out why the driver fled. It’s rarely due to panic alone. They may have been under the influence, they may have had warrants, or they may have been in possession of a stolen vehicle. At the end of the day, people deserve to see those who wronged them held accountable for their actions.
