Odessa, TX — June 15, 2023, Xavier Tavarez was injured following a single-vehicle accident at around 2:42 a.m. along North Grant Avenue.
According to initial details about the crash, it happened in the area of the North Grant Avenue and East 10th Street intersection.
Authorities said in their statements that 21-year-old Xavier Tavarez was in a Dodge Challenger that was going southbound along Grant Avenue. At the 10th Street intersection, the vehicle was turning left when it somehow went off the corner of the crossing and crashed into a street light.
It appears that Tavarez was thrown from the vehicle due to the wreck, and he sustained injuries described by authorities as incapacitating. No one else was reportedly injured. At this time, the exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed without further investigations.
