Victoria, TX — April 12, 2024, Xavier Smith was killed and two others were injured in a motorcycle versus car accident at 11:50 p.m. along Navarro Street.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Xavier Smith was traveling on a southbound motorcycle along North Navarro Street approaching the Glascow Street intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound sedan failed to yield the right of way to southbound traffic on Navarro as it attempted a left turn onto westbound Glascow Street. This resulted in a collision between the sedan and the motorcycle.
Smith incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. Two occupants of the sedan sustained injuries described as non life-threatening and were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
