Montgomery County, TX — August 9, 2024, Xavier Pierce was killed and three were injured due to a car accident at around 9:50 p.m. along F.M. 1314.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened off the corner of F.M. 1314/Conroe Porter Road and Old Houston Road, near Porter Heights.

It appears that 29-year-old Xavier Pierce was in a Kia Soul going southbound on F.M. 1314. Three people were in a Chevy Silverado going northbound. Due to events not entirely clear, the vehicles ended up colliding head-on. This resulted in Pierce being killed. Two people from the Chevy had serious injuries while one was moderately injured.

While details can’t be confirmed right now, details suggest authorities suspect alcohol as a contributing factor. Despite what some would think, that wouldn’t suddenly make things open-and-shut here. What often goes overlooked by authorities is that alcohol-related accidents can involve negligent alcohol providers if someone was unlawfully over-served.
Simply put, alcohol providers who unlawfully over-serve someone who is obviously intoxicated can potentially face criminal investigations, fines, suspended licenses, or liability for the resulting harm caused by the intoxication. I’ve handled hundreds of cases against negligent alcohol providers. There is no shortage of establishment with no regard for whether or not their customers are dangers to themselves or others. This is mostly because of how rare it is they’re actually held accountable. The ones who do face consequences typically only do so because victims and families explored legal avenues independent of anything authorities bother themselves with.
That’s why I have to wonder if authorities are working to get the whole story here. Victims and families deserve to know they’re getting the answers they need, and there are just too many examples of authorities coming up short. Whether or not alcohol is confirmed here, a serious crash like this could easily end up in the hands of independent investigators.
