Temple, TX — January 4, 2025, Willie Wilson was killed and two others were injured in a car accident at around 1:00 p.m. on Southeast H.K. Dodgen Loop.
According to authorities, 71-year-old Willie Wilson was traveling in a motor vehicle that had just merged onto Southeast H.K. Dodgen Loop when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the vehicle failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered into the opposing lanes of traffic where it was involved in a collision with a second motor vehicle. That second vehicle was subsequently rear-ended by a third.
Wilson sustained critical injuries over the course of the accident. Two others suffered serious injuries, as well, according to reports. Each of them, reports state, were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Wilson, however, was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of his injuries, having later been declared deceased.
