Collin County, TX — August 1, 2024, William Waters was injured following a car accident shortly before 5:45 a.m. along State Highway 78.
According to authorities, 50-year-old William Waters was traveling in a southbound Nissan Altima on S.H. 78 at the Lakehaven Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford Fusion on Lakehaven Drive entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the front-end of the Altima and the left side of the Fusion.
Waters suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
