Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
While authorities say the driver of the car did something wrong here, any crash involving a motorcyclist is important to take seriously. A lot of people are negatively biased against motorcyclists, meaning people might jump to conclusions if there are any gaps in the facts.
That’s why preliminary investigations are rarely enough on their own to cover accidents like this. Sometimes, authorities are especially thorough and make sure the whole story is brought to light. A lot of the time, though, getting a fair resolution requires independent investigators who can dedicate more time and resources to the accident reconstruction.
