Midland, TX — November 8, 2024, Weldon Brogden was killed after a car accident at about noon on Texas State Highway Loop 250.
Authorities said Weldon Brogden, 93, was driving east on the bypass highway in northern Midland when his 2018 Toyota Ridgeline exited the highway as it approached the Big Spring Street overpass.
The truck crashed into a Toyota Camry that was heading south of Big Spring Street, according to authorities.
Midland police reportedly said Weldon Brogden may have been dealing with some kind of medical issue before his truck veered off the road.
Weldon Brogdon was hospitalized after the crash, authorities said. He died on November 10.
The driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization, according to authorities.
The investigation by Midland police is continuing.
