Harris County, TX — March 29, 2024, Viridiana Padilla Pineda was injured in a car accident at approximately 9:00 a.m. along Barker Cypress Road.
According to authorities, 33-year-old Viridiana Padilla Pineda was traveling in a stopped Ford Explorer in the left-most southbound lane of Barker Cypress Road in the vicinity north of Farm to Market 529 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a southbound Sierra pickup truck failed to come to a stop for traffic conditions; this resulted in a rear-end collision with the Explorer. The collision caused the explorer to be pushed forward into the back of a Nissan Rogue. The pickup truck then apparently went into reverse, resulting in a collision with the front-end of a southbound Kia Optima.
Pineda incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
