San Antonio, TX — May 16, 2023, Virginia Menchaca was injured as the result of an alleged hit-and-run accident at 11:33 p.m. along Cavalier Avenue.
Authorities released information about the accident, which they say took place at the intersection of Cavalier Avenue and Charlotte Street.
Details at this time suggest that 58-year-old Virginia Menchaca was on foot at the time and was in the vicinity of a Toyota pickup that was parked along Cavalier. A Ford pickup making a turn somehow struck the Toyota, causing the Toyota to then hit Menchaca. The Ford then allegedly left the scene of the accident.
Menchaca was left with injuries which were described as incapacitating. There were no other injuries reported resulting from the collision. Authorities said they were considering charges for failure to stop and render aid, but they were not clear on if they identified the driver they suspect was involved in the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
