Something that’s always worth considering in these situations is that a person killed after an accident isn’t able to speak with the authorities. As a result, authorities may only be able to tell one side of the story. Generally speaking, that’s why evidence is so important. It helps tell the victim’s side of the story when they’re not around to speak for themselves. Unfortunately, authorities tend to overlook anything but the most surface-level details in their investigations. So unless authorities here are being uniquely more thorough here, it’s possible there’s still more to this story.
