Crosby County, TX — November 16, 2023, Vicki Garza and one other person were injured in a truck accident at approximately 7:30 in the morning along U.S. 82.
According to reports, 62-year-old Vicki Garza was traveling in a southbound Nissan Rogue along Farm to Market 2236 approaching the U.S. Highway 82 intersection when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the Nissan entered the intersection at an unsafe time; this resulted in a collision with a westbound 18-wheeler with a tanker in tow. After being struck on its passenger side, the Nissan was allegedly dragged for some distance before coming to a stop facing southwest in the north roadside ditch. The 18-wheeler continued off the road completely and began to roll, the tanker becoming detached from the cab during the incident. The cab reportedly came to a stop on its roof just east of the tanker, which was also upside down.
Garza reportedly sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the incident, while the 43-year-old man who had been the only occupant of the 18-wheeler sustained suspected moderate injuries. Both were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been foggy and wet. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not currently available.
