Howard County, TX — June 30, 2023, Vernon Brady Doggett was fatally injured following a commercial truck accident along Highway 350.
According to initial details provided by authorities, the crash took place along the southbound lanes of State Highway 350. 22-year-old Vernon Brady Doggett was reportedly in the southbound lane driving a 2019 Ford F-150. While doing so, authorities say that an oncoming Freightliner tractor-trailer somehow crossed the center line. This caused the Ford and the Freightliner to collide head-on.
As a result of the collision, Doggett was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. One other person involved was taken to a hospital in what was described as stable condition. There were no other reported injuries. Currently, the exact cause of the crash remains unspecified. It’s unclear if any charges or citations are pending. Investigations are ongoing.
