Houston, TX — April 13, 2024, one person was killed following a car versus ambulance accident sometime in the morning along I.H. 45.
According to authorities, an ambulance was on scene responding to a previous accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate Highway 45 in the vicinity of Airtex Drive when the accident occurred.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a vehicle rear-ended the halted ambulance. One person apparently incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
