A common concern I have following any serious accident is how seriously authorities have treated investigations. Not every department prioritized accident investigations, and less common vehicles like a 4-wheeler can make things more challenging since officers may not be as experienced looking at them as they would be a typical car. This can lead to incomplete investigations or even authorities focusing so much on finding someone to blame that they fail to actually consider the evidence. Perhaps authorities have been more thorough here to give the accident the attention it deserves, but I’ve worked with many families who were left in the dark until we had more thorough independent accident reconstructionists look into their situation. I wouldn’t take for granted that a crash like this is getting the attention it deserves without seeing clear evidence of those efforts being made.
