Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

With single-vehicle wrecks, there’s always a concern authorities won’t give it the attention it deserves. Frankly, it’s not often a high priority for them, so it can leave families out in the wind looking for answers. It’s one of the reasons I’ve relied on independent investigations throughout my career. Their priority is to get the facts—even when some possibilities, like mechanical defects, for example, may seem unlikely. That way, regardless of what led to the crash, those affected by it can at least feel confident they’re getting the whole story.
