Lee County, IA — April 5, 2023, two people were killed in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 3 p.m. at J40 and Highway 27 in Lee County.
Authorities report a passenger vehicle was westbound crossing through the intersection when it was t-boned by a northbound semi-truck.
Both occupants in the passenger vehicle suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The cause of the accident requires further investigation.
