El Paso, TX — July 6, 2023, two people were injured in a collision with a commercial truck around 12:20 p.m. on Airway Blvd. in El Paso.
Officials report the victims’ vehicle was facing north and stopped at a red light in the center lane on Airway Blvd. at the intersection with Montana Ave. prior to the accident.
When the traffic light turned green the victim’s motorcycle reportedly stalled forcing the driver to place their feet on the ground for balance. An International tractor-trailer, then purportedly pulled forward through the light and allegedly drove over the motorcycle driver’s foot. Investigators say this caused the motorcycle to overturn.
The motorcycle driver reportedly sustained serious injuries and the passenger purportedly suffered minor injuries. Both victims were taken to a medical center.
