Monrovia, CA — June 3, 2023, two people were injured in a collision involving an Amazon semi-truck around 1:30 a.m. at 210 Fwy. and Myrtle Ave. in Monrovia.
Authorities report the semi-truck was westbound in the outer lane when it somehow collided with the side wall of 210 Fwy. causing a large chunk of the sidewall to collapse. The Amazon trailer purportedly suffered large amounts of damage sending pieces of the trailer’s wall over the wall along with hundreds of packages.
The crash reportedly involved two other vehicles, but authorities have not released if they were directly involved in the accident or if they only struck debris from the initial incident.
The driver of the semi-truck was purportedly taken to a medical center in critical condition and the driver of a red passenger vehicle was transported in reportedly unknown condition.
