Collin County, TX — June 18, 2023, a two-year-old and a three-year-old were injured in a car accident around 7:26 p.m. on Hwy. 78 in Collin County.

Sources report three adults and three children (2, 3, and 10 years old) were in a southbound Honda CR-V that was attempting a right-hand turn onto County Road 553 when the car struck an east-facing Ford F-250. The front passenger corner of the CR-V reportedly collided with the front driver’s side corner of the F-250.

Investigators allege the 2-year-old and 3-year-old were buckled into car seats, but that the car seats were not properly attached to the vehicle.

Both the 2-year-old and 3-year-old reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators have not released what factors led up to the crash.
