Grayson County, TX — November 15, 2023, one woman and two girls were injured in a truck accident just after 7:30 in the morning along U.S. 377.

According to reports, a 53-year-old woman and two girls ages five and four were traveling in a west-facing Kia Forte at the intersection of U.S. 377 and a private road just north of the Knight Road intersection when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the Kia entered the intersection at an unsafe time, resulting in a collision with an 18-wheeler which had been northbound on U.S. 377. The collision caused the Kia to spin clockwise, coming to rest facing northeast in the roadside ditch on the east side of the highway. The 18-wheeler overturned and came to a stop on the drivers side partially in the western roadside ditch and partially in the shoulder. The 53-year old woman sustained reportedly severe injuries as a result of the accident. The two minors who had been with her in the car also possibly sustained injuries. All three were taken to a medical facility in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. Additional details—including the names of those involved—are not available at this point in time.
