Daviess County, MO — December 2, 2024, one person was injured following a truck accident shortly before 2:30 p.m. along Interstate Highway 35.
According to authorities, a 36-year-old Grand River, Iowa, man was traveling in a Lincoln MKX in the right-hand northbound lane of I.H. 35, Monarch Highway, in the vicinity north of U.S. Highway 69 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Kenworth 18-wheeler that had been traveling in the left lane attempted a lane change to the right lane at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the Kenworth and the back-left side of the Lincoln.
The Grand River man suffered moderate injuries as a result of the wreck, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
