Dalton City, IL — November 25, 2024, two people were injured following a truck accident at about 4:00 p.m. along State Highway 121.
According to authorities, a pickup truck was traveling northbound on State Highway 128 at the State Highway 121 intersection when the accident took place.
The intersection is apparently controlled by a 4-way stop. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an 18-wheeler that had been traveling southeast on S.H. 121 failed to stop for the stop sign, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the 18-wheeler and the pickup truck.
Reports state that the drivers of each of the vehicles suffered injuries of unknown severity as a result of the wreck; they were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
