Dallas, TX — November 3, 2023, three people were injured in a multi-vehicle truck accident just before 2:15 a.m. along LBJ Freeway.
According to reports, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway in the vicinity of the Greenville Avenue bridge.

For reasons yet to be confirmed, a Mercedes-Benz and a Chevy Equinox side-swiped each other on the freeway. The Equinox lost control and veered left and collided with a concrete barrier on the left side of the freeway lanes where it caught fire. The Mercedes-Benz also lost control, causing it to rear-end an 18-wheeler which had been traveling in the far right lane of the freeway. The collision caused the 18-wheeler to turn counter clockwise, coming to rest facing northwest after colliding with a concrete barrier. The Mercedes then continued on, still lacking control, and rear-ended the trailer of a second 18-wheeler.
The 27-year-old man in the Equinox and the 29-year-old man in the Mercedes-Benz both sustained minor injuries, while the 50-year-old in the first 18-wheeler incurred severe injuries. All three were transported to local medical facilities for treatment. There were no other injuries reported.
This incident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available.
