Burleson County, TX — October 27, 2023, three people were injured in a truck accident just after one o’clock in the afternoon along State Highway 21.
According to reports, a 67-year-old man and woman were traveling in a northbound motorhome on Farm to Market 50 attempting to make a left-hand turn onto the westbound lanes of S.H. 21 when the accident occurred.
For unknown reasons, the motorhome entered the intersection and was struck by an eastbound 18-wheeler hauling a trailer. The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire. Both the man and the woman in the motorhome were injured, though the man’s injuries were reportedly severe. The sole occupant of the 18-wheeler also reportedly sustained injuries. All three people involved were transported to local medical facilities by EMS for treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time of the accident were reportedly rainy and wet. There is not currently any additional information available concerning this incident.
