Tarrant County, TX — April 19, 2024, two people were injured following a truck accident at approximately 6:45 p.m. along East Abram Street.
According to authorities, two teens ages 15 and 17 were traveling in a westbound Chevrolet Silverado along East Abram Street approaching the Canco Drive intersection when the accident took place.
At the same time, an 18-wheeler was attempting to make a left turn from southbound Canco Drive onto eastbound Abram Street. Officials indicate that, allegedly because of oncoming eastbound traffic, the 18-wheeler stopped facing southbound in the crossover median area of the intersection before completing the turn, it’s trailer blocking all three of the westbound lanes of Abram Street. A collision followed between the front end of the pickup truck and the left side of the truck’s trailer.
The 15-year-old from the pickup truck suffered reportedly severe injuries due to the wreck, while the 17-year-old sustained minor injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
