Right now, further details are unavailable. That’s not unusual with early-morning single-vehicle wrecks. There are rarely witnesses, the victim isn’t around to tell their side of the story, and authorities have to gather physical evidence that can fill in the gaps. Unfortunately, authorities are not always able to conduct thorough accident reconstructions like that. They may not have the right tools, training, or not enough time before their supervisors decide they have higher priorities to consider.
Simply put, nothing is a higher priority for a family after losing a loved one than getting answers. That’s often why single-vehicle wrecks are better off in the hands of independent accident reconstructionists. Not only is their priority to get the whole story, but their experience and capabilities allow them to consider unusual factors authorities tend to overlook—road design flaws, tire failure, mechanical defects, etc. Maybe authorities here have proven to be more thorough than a lot of investigations I’ve seen over the years. In my experience, though, that just isn’t likely.
