Jefferson County, ID — June 20, 2023, a man sustained injuries due to a tow truck accident at around 1:45 p.m. along North 3700 East.
Authorities said that the incident involved a tow truck as well as a garbage truck. It appears from initial statements that a man was operating a tow truck and had lifted the cab of a garbage truck. For reasons unclear, however, the cab fell, and it ended up pinning the tow truck driver between the cab and the wheel of the garbage truck.

The man was able to get to his cell phone and call for emergency services. They arrived and found the tow truck driver responsive. He was then rescued and transdported from the scene to a hospital in Idaho Falls. His injuries weren’t specified, but authorities described his condition as stable. No one else was hurt.
Right now, the factors surrounding the accident are still under investigation, and the cause of the incident has yet to be confirmed.
