Denton County, TX — July 11, 2023, two people were injured following a tow truck accident at around 10:08 a.m. outside of a residence along Lake Bridge Drive.
Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened in a residential area off the corner of Lake Bridge Drive and Vista Oaks Circle, just east of I-35E.
Details are limited at this time, but it appears a few people were in a driveway outside of a home by a parked pickup facing toward the home. Behind the pickup, a tow truck was parked parallel to the street, perpendicular to the pickup. While working on the pickup, it appears the vehicle rolled backwards, running over one person underneath it. Another person trying to stop the truck became pinned between it and the tow truck.
Both victims were taken for treatment. One was a 23-year-old man with reportedly incapacitating injuries while the other, a 44-year-old woman, was said to have non-incapacitating injuries. It’s unclear whether or not a third person involved had any injuries.
