Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

There isn’t much information available right now, and my hope is people aren’t letting their immediate assumptions get the better of them. I always think back to the infamous GM ignition switch defect which was said to have resulted in the deaths of over a hundred unsuspecting motorists. It isn’t that I think that happened here, but rather it took years before anyone in the public had any idea something like that happened.

People were content to simply assume the drivers did something wrong since they were the only drivers involved. Well, a family looking for answers isn’t going to stop there. They need to know they’re getting the whole story, and it seems these details are far from giving a complete picture of what went wrong here. Hopefully authorities are able to ensure there are more thorough explanations available to the victim’s loved ones.
