Harris County, TX — June 26, 2023, Tochukwu Achapu was fatally injured following a semi-truck accident at around 2:10 p.m. along Westheimer Road.
According to information provided by authorities, the incident happened in the Mission Bend area off the Westheimer Road and Westheimer Place Drive intersection.
Investigators said in their statements that 23-year-old Tochukwu Achapu was in a Toyota Sequoia that was going westbound along Westheimer Road. Ahead, it appears there was a stopped, unoccupied tractor-trailer combination. Details suggest workers were in the process of loading construction equipment onto the tractor-trailer. As they did so, the Toyota crashed into the tractor-trailer.
