How Did This Accident Occur?

I typically warn people not to rush to any conclusions about any accident, but when I read about an accident like this I know further investigation is needed. At this point, we don’t really know how this crash happened. Did one vehicle run a red light or stop sign? Did the GMC have the right of way to make it turn? Was the Toyota speeding as it approached the intersection? Did either vehicle have a mechanical problem that contributed to the crash?

The answers to these questions won’t come from guesswork or assumptions, but from a thorough investigation built on witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from both vehicles and any available video footage of the crash. These tools will allow investigators to identify facts that help them reconstruct this accident, and answer any lingering questions for the injured driver and his family.
