Authorities indicate that on October 14, a fatal accident occurred when an SUV and a tractor-trailer collided in Rockbridge County. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Investigators say a Chevrolet Tahoe was parked along the shoulder of Interstate 81 with the driver outside the vehicle. An oncoming tractor-trailer reportedly struck the Tahoe, which then hit the driver. The cause of the accident has not been released at this time.
Officials confirmed the Tahoe Driver, Timothy Korman, 71, suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported.
