Upper Marlboro, MD — April 10, 2023, three people were injured in a multi-truck accident in the afternoon on Pennsylvania Ave. in Upper Marlboro.
Authorities report all three involved vehicles were on southbound Pennsylvania Ave. prior to the accident. A Ford Super Duty van allegedly collided with a Scion sedan after attempting to change lanes. The force of this impact reportedly caused the Scion to also collide with a dump truck. The Ford van left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned. The dump truck also overturned.
Officials report the Ford van driver and the dump truck driver were airlifted to a hospital and a passenger in the dump truck was driven to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
There is currently no information regarding the cause of this accident nor how severe the sustained injuries were.
