According to official reports, Thomas Clark and Mary Pollyea were traveling in opposite directions in US 65 when for unknown reasons, a Hyundai driven by Clark, veered into the opposite lane and collided with the Jeep Wrangler operated by Pollyea.
When first responders arrived on the scene they found that Clark had sustained serious injuries and was pronounced, and Pollyea was also injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
