Harris County, TX — April 8, 2023, Terrance Hall Jr. and another person were injured following a car accident around 9:41 p.m. along Atascocita Road.

Authorities said they were called to the area of Atascocita Road and Wilson Road in Northeast Houston near Humble.

It appears that 33-year-old Terrance Hall Jr. was in a Toyota Camry traveling westbound along Atascocita Road. From oncoming lanes, it appears that an eastbound Ford Focus somehow crossed the center line, hitting Hall’s vehicle. A pickup then crashed into the Toyota.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Current information suggests authorities believe that the Ford driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. If true, it would be yet another alcohol-related crash in a seemingly endless list of them that comes out of the greater Houston area. I get tons of calls about alcohol-related crashes, and a shocking number of them come from Harris County.

Despite the diligence of authorities charging drivers and even seeing alcohol providers held accountable when they over-serve those drivers, it’s a persistent problem all across the state. That’s why, at the very least, it’s important to call out these drivers and businesses and ensure there are appropriate consequences when their actions get people hurt. Hopefully those steps are being taken here.
