People tend to write off tire blowouts, assuming everything was simply unavoidable. Usually, that’s true. However, there can be other explanations which are important to investigate.
For example, the driver’s employer may be forcing drivers to operate vehicles that aren’t routinely maintained. Or, this could be a rare manufacturing defect that may be putting other drivers at risk. This can take significant training and equipment to properly investigate, and that’s not the sort of thing authorities tend to handle on their own. Did they ever contact a specialist to analyze the tire, or was this crash not really given the attention it deserved?
