Ulster County, NY — January 9, 2024, two teens were killed and one was injured following a semi-truck accident at around 9:00 a.m. on Route 28.
Current information about the deadly wreck says that it occurred at the intersection of Route 28 and Route 212.

According to officials, three teenagers, ages 16 to 17, were inn a Hyundai Santa Fe which was going westbound on Route 28. In the oncoming lanes, a Honda car reportedly slowed to a stop in order to turn onto Route 212. While stopped, however, police say a semi-truck rear-ended the Honda, then went left of center and hit the teens’ Hyundai head-on.
Due to the collision, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy in the Hyundai both suffered fatal injuries. The third occupant, another 17-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital with where were called serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Right now, there is no indication of charges or citations pending.
