Caldwell County, TX — July 28, 2025, two teenagers were injured following a car accident that happened at around 11:50 p.m. along Highway 80.
According to preliminary details about the accident, it happened near Cherryville Parkway between Fentress and MArtindale.
Investigators said two 18-year-old men were in a vehicle traveling southeast on the highway. The vehicle reportedly left its lane, causing the vehicle to crash along the highway. Both occupants reportedly had serious injuries due to the crash.
Authorities said they were investigating alcohol as a possible factor, but details haven’t been confirmed.

It obviously stands out that authorities are looking into alcohol here, specifically due to the age of the driver. But this isn’t important just to find out the cause of the crash. It would also raise serious questions about where a teenager got their alcohol from. There are many possible answers, but I’ve often had cases against negligent alcohol providers who were willing to or inept enough to sell alcohol to people who were underage. Those establishments are generally breaking all kinds of rules, which makes it crucial to bring them to light and see they’re held accountable—especially if their actions led to people getting hurt.
