Kansas City, MO — June 14, 2023, a teenager sustained injuries following a semi-truck hit-and-run accident at 9:30 p.m. along I-29.
Preliminary details about the incident say that it happened along southbound lanes of the interstate near Northwest 72nd Street.
According to officials, a 15-year-old was walking along a construction zone that was on southbound lanes of the interstate. In that area, a semi-truck somehow hit the teen pedestrian. That truck then reportedly left the scene, leaving the teenager in serious condition.
Emergency services transported to the hospital in reportedly critical condition. Right now, there are no other details about other injuries.
