Authorities indicate that on October 1, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle crashed in Hockley County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 3:37 in the afternoon.
Investigators say a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north along Hartford Road when it suddenly drove into a ditch on the left side of the road. Police say the truck, attempting to correct its course, reentered the roadway and overturned before coming to rest in a ditch on the other side.
Officials confirmed that the 15-year-old Silverado driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
