Delta County, TX — June 5, 2023, a teenager was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 3:30 a.m. along F.M. 1532.
Preliminary statements about the fatal accident say that it happened in the area of F.M. 1532 and County Road 2200 near Pecan Gap.
Authorities said that a 17-year-old boy was walking in the area along F.M. 1532. While walking, police believe that a vehicle struck the teenager, then continued on and left the scene.
As a result of the collision, the teenager sustained fatal injuries. A dog was apparently also found struck at the scene, but it’s unclear if this was related to the fatal hit-and-run. Right now, authorities have not released any description for the runaway vehicle. Investigations are ongoing.
