Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
These deadly shootings are sometimes more complex than people may realize. Rightfully, the focus is on finding the alleged shooters and seeing they answer for what happened. But there may also need to be investigations into the establishment where the shooting occurred.
While not always the case, some establishments have such poor security and see so much violence that the management can actually be responsible for allowing dangerous conditions to persist on their property. Getting justice and closure for a grieving family is paramount, but taking any possible steps to prevent future incidents should also be part of the conversation.
