Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

My hope is that this crash is actually getting the attention it deserves. Something I’ve encountered a lot over the years is people not taking crashes seriously when a teen driver is involved. They see an inexperienced driver, and they assume the teen must have done something wrong. That can be true—it often is. But jumping to conclusions doesn’t help anyone, and it just risks letting something important slip through the cracks. A victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re getting all the facts. That can only happen if the investigators put their bias aside and let the facts speak for themselves.
