Accident Report

March 23, 2026, a teenager was injured following a hit-and-run accident at around 10:43 p.m. along Farm-to-Market 1960 Road W.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of FM 1960 Road W. and Cypress Station Drive.

Investigators said that a 19-year-old woman was in a Nissan Rogue going eastbound along the roadway. Another vehicle was also going eastbound when it crashed with the Nissan. The other vehicle then reportedly fled the scene.

The teen driver was seriously injured. Details about the other driver are unavailable. Authorities say the vehicle that left the scene was a 4 door car.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Vehicles going the same direction and colliding is usually the result of something like inattention or unsafe speeds. But considering the time of night and the allegations the other driver fled the scene, alcohol also should be considered. It’s common late at night, and it’s also a common reason drivers flee accident scenes.

Of course, knowing for sure if that happened here would mean finding the runaway driver. If authorities have any further information about that vehicle, they should release it to the public. I’ve seen many hit-and-runs reach a resolution because someone in the community was able to help authorities connect the dots after seeing something in the news or on social media. Hopefully similar steps can happen here.
