Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

In a situation like this, it’s important to avoid jumping to conclusions. Not only are people too quick to blame drivers in single-vehicle wrecks, they can also be quick to blame teen drivers. While statistics may point to such a conclusion, it’s always important to let the evidence speak for itself. For all we know, there may have been mechanical issues, a tire blowout, road hazards, missing signage or lighting, medical conditions, or any other number of circumstances that led to the accident. At the end of the day, it’s important to let the facts do the talking rather than jumping to conclusions that may ultimately prove to be completely false. That’s especially true when someone gets seriously hurt.
