How Did This Accident Occur?
The notion that this crash was the result of street racing does not eliminate the need for a full investigation.
Reviewing traffic cam footage, data from both vehicles and evidence from the scene should give investigators a clearer picture of how this crash happened.
Was the Mercedes speeding? Did the Mercedes turn when it wasn’t safe? Did either vehicle have a mechanical defect that contributed to the crash?
Guesses or assumptions won’t answer these questions, but the investigation should address them. If authorities can’t provide the answers that those affected by this crash need, then perhaps an independent probe will be needed.
