Marble Falls, TX — March 15, 2023, Tammie Jean Dunn, Maria Almaguer, Rhonda Gillum, and 4 others were injured in a car accident around 9:21 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 281 in Marble Falls.
Sources report Tammie Jean Dunn was a passenger in the front seat of a Jeep Liberty. The Jeep purportedly attempted a right turn onto U.S. Hwy. 281 and collided with a southbound Toyota Highlander which Maria Almaguer was a passenger in.
Both the Jeep and the Highlander reportedly were stationary in the traffic lanes when Rhonda Gillum’s Toyota Highlander allegedly rear-ended the Jeep Liberty and then veered off the road toward the passenger side.
Officials report the Jeep driver suffered minor injuries and Tammie Jean Dunn suffered serious injuries. In the Toyota Highlander, officials say the driver suffered possible injuries, Maria Almaguer suffered serious injuries, a 10-year-old suffered minor injuries, and a 13-year-old suffered possible injuries. Authorities report Rhonda Gillum was the only occupant in the Hyundai Santa Fe and she suffered reportedly minor injuries.
All of the victims were transported for medical attention.
Police have not recommended any charges, but they are waiting on the toxicology results from the Jeep Liberty’s driver.
